PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Assembly has elected its new cabinet, with Darwesh Ullah Arif of the Khidmat (Service) Party securing 93 votes to become the Chief Minister. According to the official results announced after voting during the assembly session, Ms. Noorul Huda Shah of the Jasba Party was elected Speaker after securing 66 votes. Abdul Rahim of the Khidmat Party was elected Deputy Speaker with 68 votes, winning the closely contested election by a margin of two votes. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Assembly serves as a platform to promote democratic values, leadership skills and civic engagement among young people by providing them with first hand experience of parliamentary procedures and public policymaking.
