KMU hosts HULT prize 2025 campus competition

The Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, successfully hosted the HULT Prize 2025 Campus Competition, where 21 emerging startups showcased their creativity and entrepreneurial skills.
The competition served as a dynamic platform for young business minds, enabling them to present sustainable business models aimed at tackling global challenges. One of the standout participants was NOEL Sync, founded by KMU student Noel Ameeq, whose innovative ideas and forward-thinking approach greatly impressed the audience.
The event featured an exchange of dynamic and creative ideas, proving that young entrepreneurs can play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the medical sector and other industries. The competition was presided over by KMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, while Additional Secretary Higher Education Department Javed Iqbal and Deputy Secretary Rahmat Wazir attended as guests of honor. Their presence underscored the significance of promoting an entrepreneurial culture within educational institutions.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed panel of judges for their valuable insights and expertise. The judging panel included Engineer Muhammad Haroon Nawaz (CEO, Pivi Fine Foods & Beverages Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Syed Tauqeer Hussain Shah (CEO, FES Pakistan), Dr. Sohaib Ali (Chairman, Major3), and Dr. Ibrahim Afridi (Co-founder, Major3).
Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq reaffirmed KMU’s commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into impactful and viable projects. He particularly highlighted the role of the KMU Business Incubation Center (KUBIC), which serves as a model for other institutions to emulate. He further stated that the HULT Prize 2025 Campus Competition reflects KMU’s dedication to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
During the event, Wasim ul Haq (Program Manager, KMU Business Incubation Center) and Fazal Subhan (National Coordinator, HULT Prize Pakistan) were specially recognized for their remarkable efforts in organizing the competition.
Prior to the competition, all participating startups attended a three-day Entrepreneurship Workshop and Boot Camp, jointly organized by KMU Business Incubation Center (KUBIC) and Major3 Pvt. Ltd. This training provided participants with essential guidance and skill-building opportunities, enabling them to refine their business models and enhance their entrepreneurial expertise
