Koki Khel tribe has warned that they will observe “Independence Day” as black day if their demands are not met.
Addressing to a crowded press conference held here in Jamrud press club on Monday, Malik Naseer Ahmad Koki Khel and others said that since long they had been advocating for starting the second phase of the repatriation of the displaced people of Tirah Valley.
Dwellers of Rajgal, Koki Khel in Tirah Valley had suffered a lot for the sake of the country therefore it was obligatory to compensate them and adopt necessary initiatives for their early return to their hometowns, they added.
Malik Naseer and his co-tribesmen further said that land dispute over the possession of Regi Lalma, had erupted between the government and the Koki Khel tribes and they had offered peaceful resolutions of the conflict but to in avail that was injustice to them.
In addition, they asked for a supply of six hours electricity to them round the clock to meet their daily routine business.
Number of protest sit-ins, demonstration and rally, organized but could not attract the attention of the concerned officials to address their demands, they regretted.
They threatened that if the above mentioned demands were not met, they would commemorate August, 14 as black day and black flags would be hoisted at their homes besides all the tribesmen of Koki Khel would fasten black ribbon around their hands to file their protest.
