The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Friday unanimously passed a resolution condemning India’s hostile actions, including threats to the Indus Waters Treaty and acts of aggression against Pakistan.
The resolution was moved by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Parliamentary Leader Ahmed Karim Kundi and received cross-party support, including endorsement from members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The resolution expressed deep concern over the recent Pahalgam incident and strongly condemned India’s provocative behavior, stating that such actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
It reaffirmed Pakistan’s sovereign right to protect its national interests and endorsed all necessary measures by the Government of Pakistan to defend its territorial integrity.
The House called on the international community to take immediate notice of India’s repeated violations of international agreements, particularly the Indus Waters Treaty, and to play an active role in promoting peace in South Asia.
The resolution also conveyed full solidarity with the people and armed forces of Pakistan, acknowledging their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation.
