PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the convoy of the Assistant Commissioner of North Waziristan in Bannu. Expressing deep sorrow over the martyrdom of the Assistant Commissioner, two policemen and a passerby, the Chief Minister said the incident was extremely tragic. He added that anti-national elements cannot weaken the nation’s resolve through such cowardly acts. The Chief Minister sought a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police and directed the authorities to ensure immediate and best medical treatment for the injured. He said the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and those involved in the attack would be brought to justice. “The war against terrorism will continue with even stronger determination,” he affirmed. Sohail Afridi prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and expressed solidarity with their families, assuring them of all possible support from the provincial government. DLP Report
