The leader of the opposition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Dr. Ibadullah Khan has urged Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi to focus on public service rather than political confrontation, saying the province’s resources and mandate belong to the people. In a statement from his office, Dr. Ibadullah emphasized that the Chief Minister’s position is “one of service, not confrontation,” and that public issues, particularly education, health, and law and order, should be the top priority.
He cautioned against using official authority for personal or party battles, stating that development and stability, not political rivalry, are the true mandate of the people. “Change does not come from statements but from practical steps. Differences should be addressed through democratic traditions, not turned into hostility,” he said, adding that the use of political slogans, including the so-called Imran Liberation Force, should not distract from governance. Dr. Ibadullah underscored that the province is not a political arena, and the Chief Minister should concentrate on serving the public rather than engaging in confrontation. DLP Report
