KP Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan on Thursday congratulated all students who secured positions and passed the Class 9 and 10 examinations conducted by education boards across the province. In a statement issued here, the minister lauded the students for their “outstanding performance,” saying their hard work and dedication were a matter of pride for the province. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring merit and transparency in the examination system, and said the campaign against cheating would continue “with full force.”
Mr. Khan also praised the examination staff, with special mention of young graduates who performed invigilation duties “with honesty and sincerity.” He said their professionalism had been widely appreciated and should serve as a model going forward.
Highlighting key reforms, the minister said the department was focusing on concept-based learning and Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) in government schools to improve quality of education.
“Shifting from rote learning to comprehension-based education is essential to develop critical thinking among students,” he said.
Welcoming technological upgrades in the education sector, Mr. Khan described e-marking as a “positive and timely step” that would make compilation of results faster, fairer and more transparent.
He reaffirmed the provincial government’s resolve to strengthen elementary and secondary education in KP through transparent policies, a merit-based system and continuous reforms, aimed at securing a better future for students.
