KP food minister warns against delays, substandard materials in development Projects

MARDAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Minister Zahir Shah Toru has warned that unnecessary delays and the use of substandard materials in development projects will not be tolerated. He issued these directives while chairing a review meeting on ongoing development projects under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP) in Mardan. The meeting was attended by Chairman WSSCM Mardan Engineer Adil Nawaz, Board of Directors Haroon Rashid, party workers, and office bearers of various village councils. During the meeting, officials provided a detailed briefing on the progress of sanitation, drainage, and other development projects, along with the quality of materials being used. Minister Toro stressed that ensuring transparency in these projects is a top priority for the provincial government and instructed authorities to take strict action against any negligence. He emphasized the government’s responsibility to complete public welfare projects on time, warning that no compromises would be made on quality and efficiency. Chairman WSSCM Engineer Adil Nawaz informed the participants that, under the Chief Minister’s Public Agenda Program, sanitation and drainage projects are being implemented swiftly in Mardan, including constituency PK-57.
