Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan on Wednesday said the provincial government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, was taking historic steps to ensure public welfare, transparent governance, provision of basic facilities, and sustainable development across the province.
Speaking during meetings with delegations from different areas at his office in Peshawar, Shafi Jan said resolving public issues on a priority basis and delivering services at people’s doorsteps remained among the government’s top priorities.
Members of the visiting delegations apprised the provincial minister of collective issues faced by their areas, ongoing development schemes, basic facilities, and other public concerns.
The minister listened to their grievances and immediately contacted relevant departments, issuing directives for the swift and effective resolution of public issues.
Shafi Jan said the provincial government, following the vision of PTI founder Imran Khan, was implementing projects worth billions of rupees in key sectors, including health, education, law and order, infrastructure, communication, clean water, energy, agriculture, and other public welfare initiatives.
He said the government was committed to transparency, merit, and public service, adding that all available resources were being utilized for the betterment of the people.
The minister further stated that, on the directives of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, provincial ministers were visiting different districts to address public issues at the grassroots level.
He reaffirmed that the provincial government was determined to meet public expectations and work towards building a prosperous, developed, and stable KP.
