PESHAWAR: Health Advisor Ihtesham Ali has decided to convene an Annual Development Programme (ADP) conference to finalize health sector development schemes for the financial year 2025-26, said an official handout. Ali emphasized the need for public participation, stating that all stakeholders, including citizens, would be invited to contribute ideas. “It is no longer appropriate to formulate development schemes behind closed doors. The people must have a say in how their money is spent,” he said. He added that donors and development partners would also be invited to the conference. Ali stressed that the focus should now shift from infrastructure projects to improving healthcare delivery and governance. “Enough has been done in terms of upgradation and construction. Now, we must ensure efficient service delivery to benefit the common man,” he remarked. He further announced that citizens could submit their suggestions online, including through social media platforms. DLP Report
