The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has launched a major recruitment drive for medical staff across the province to strengthen primary and secondary health centers, officials said on Friday.
The initiative, announced under the directions of Provincial Health Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman, aims to address shortages of doctors and medical personnel and ensure better healthcare services for the public.
A total of 2,439 posts have been advertised, including 1,425 Medical Officers, 250 Dental Surgeons, and 764 Nurses. Appointments will be made on a one-year contract, extendable based on performance, a handout said.
Candidates must possess relevant educational qualifications, complete a house job where applicable, and be registered with the relevant council (PMDC/PNC). No age limit has been set for these positions.
Health Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman said the recruitment process would be fully transparent and merit-based, in line with departmental rules. He urged candidates to submit applications to the offices of the respective Divisional Commissioners along with all required documents. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
The minister reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening the health system and providing quality medical services to all citizens.
