PESHAWAR
In a bid to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities, police in Phandu carried out targeted operations on the directives of senior officers.
According to police officials, acting on the instructions of SP Faqirabad Division Resham Jahangir and under the supervision of DSP Gulbahar Circle Ehsan Marwat, a team led by SHO Phandu Police Station Javed Marwat conducted raids in different areas of the jurisdiction.
During the operations, six suspects Qazi Shakir, Sadiqullah, Asad, Abdullah, Imran and Sattar Gul were arrested for their alleged involvement in various crimes, including possession of illegal weapons, drug dealing (ice), weapons exhibition and aerial firing.
Police said that five pistols, 250 grams of ice and a quantity of cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused.
Cases have been registered against the suspects, who reportedly confessed to their involvement in multiple criminal activities during initial interrogation.
