PESHAWAR: Following the recent fire incident at Gul Plaza in Karachi, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has intensified its fire safety measures and issued an alert to all hospitals across the province, including both public and private healthcare facilities. According to an official notification issued by the Health Department on Tuesday, the installation and proper functioning of fire extinguishers have been made mandatory in all medical institutions.
The notification issued strict instructions to ensure fire safety in hospitals, medical colleges and district health offices.
Authorities have clearly warned that any negligence regarding fire safety measures will not be tolerated.
