KP: PDWP approves 33 projects worth Rs 20b

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWD) on Thursday accorded approval to 33 different developmental projects worth Rs 20 billion, said a handout.
The approval was accorded in a meeting of PDWP chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah.
The forum deliberated on the projects related to the fields of public health engineering, Construction and Works (C&W), higher education and local government for the development of the province.
The meeting sanctioned feasibility study of a bridge on Dera Ismail Khan road. Rehabilitation, improvement and construction of new roads were also given approval in the meeting.
PDWP in its meeting approved establishment of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in various districts of the province, construction of Warana to Link Road and Warana to Masakan in Karak District and Gadun Industrial Zone Bypass Road in Swabi District.
Feasibility Studies, Construction of Grade Interchange for Dhamtur Bypass at Abbottabad Havelian, construction of Bridge at Nowshera, construction of district Abbottabad Havelian city Bypass Road, construction of RCC Bridge on DI Khan Darya Khan Road, district Swat feasibility studies for construction, widening and rehabilitation of Venai Chowk to Gut and Bikund Road, Buner District.
Feasibility study, master planning, survey design, drawing tender under the construction of Shaheeda Sir to Ate Khor, Sir Kala to Bar Tiraj road and improvement of Batara to Shangri road, construction of RCC bridge in Dir Bala district was also approved by the members of meeting.
