KPEZDMC records surplus revenue in FY 2022

The company launches new zones in D.I.Khan, Rashakai and Chitral

Secretary Industries and Technical Education and Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company ( KPEZDMC) Captain (retd) Kamran Afridi on Monday presided over the 7th annual general meeting of the company.
The meeting was also attended by high-ups of concerned departments, relevant stackholders, Chairman Finance and Strategy Committee Sahibzada Salim-Ur- Rehman, Chairman Audit & Risk Management Committee Fayyaz Ahmad Jarral and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) KPEZDMC, Javed Iqbal Khattak, Chief Financial Officer Shahid Iqbal Khattak and Company Secretary Abdul Mussawar Dar along with finance team.
The forum was informed that during the ongoing financial year ending June 30, 2022 the company’s income, and the total assets have also shown a steady increase over the past year.
According to a handout issued by the company stated that the company has posted a surplus of Rs 29 million with total income of Rs 1,025 million in Fiscal Year 2022.
It shared that the total assets of the company have increased to Rs15.8 billion in 2022 from Rs13.0 billion in 2021.
The Company has generated funds of around Rs 3.1 billion in 2022, which also include Rs 541 million received as Annual Development Project (ADP).
Three new Zones haves been launched during the year including D. I. Khan Economic Zone, Rashakai Special Economic Zone and Chitral Economic Zone and area measuring 219 acres have been allotted, the forum was informed.
The Company launched also contributed around Rs93 million to the government treasury in the form of duties and taxes during the year.
CFO shared that the Company has achieved resolution of all qualifications in the Auditors’ reports that were mainly inherited from Defunct Sarhad Development Authority relating to early 90’s.
KPEZDMC has now obtained Pakistan Center for Philanthropy (PCP) Certification inevitable for NPO status under Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Mr Kamran Ahmed Afridi expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors, shareholders, and stakeholders for their support and trust in the company.
He appreciated CEO Javed Khattak and thanked the management team and employees for their hard work and dedication.
