KPHA holds orientation session on New Peshawar Valley Project

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali has said that the Housing Department is taking effective steps to meet the shortfall of 700,000 houses in the province.
New Peshawar Valley is the largest housing project in the province. The significant progress made by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority in the New Peshawar Valley project in a short period of time is commendable. He expressed these views while talking to the media yesterday at the orientation session of the New Peshawar Valley Project held at the central office inTehsil Pubbi, District Nowshera.
The orientation session was attended by Secretary Housing Department Mahmood Aslam Wazir, Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority, heads and representatives of various departments, land owners, journalists, and people and stakeholders from different walks of life. On this occasion, the Secretary Housing Department and DG KPHA briefed the participants about the progress of the New Peshawar Valley Project, its importance and necessity, departmental reforms and other ongoing housing projects.
It was informed in the briefing that the New Peshawar Valley, consisting of one hundered and six thousand kanals land and 7 phases with different plot sizes. It was further informed that necessary steps are being taken to start work on the expressway, link roads and its phase one. It was further informed that all modern facilities and amenities have been taken into consideration in the New Peshawar Valley project.
Addressing the meeting, Special Assistant Dr. Amjad Ali said that the establishment of a compensation committee related to New Peshawar Valley is commendable. He said that the aim of the New Peshawar Valley Project is to establish a new city in Peshawar district. Dr. Amjad Ali said that the Housing Department has taken effective steps to eliminate corruption and nepotism.
He said that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wishes that all housing projects managed by the Housing Department be completed on time according to the public aspirations and needs so that maximum people can benefit.
