KPPSC announces final result of police ASI

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) has announced the final results for the recruitment of more than 300 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) in Police Department after completion of a four-year long process. According to the available figures, some 338 candidates have qualified for recruitment to the post of ASIs while results of 36 candidates have been withheld and kept pending due to court cases and other technical reasons whereas 46 unfilled seats including 34 female quota and 12 minatory quotas will be re-advertised at suitable time.
“Interviews for the posts were held by the KPPSC and from amongst the qualified candidates, 338 have been tentatively considered to be recruited to the Government for appointment subject to prescribed medical fitness, verification of their documents/domicile etc. by the department”, the KPPSC declares, adding that “the tentative recommendations do not confer any right of the recommendation/appointment as any discrepancy revealed at any stage will lead to the cancelation of the candidate accordingly”.
It may be recalled that the Provincial Public Service Commission had advertised for 420 posts of ASI (Grade 11) in KP Police Department four years ago in April 2018 for which a total of 52630 candidates from across the province had submitted applications.
However, as a result of physical /screening test and written test, a total of 1044 candidates qualified the tests whose interviews were conducted in the first week of January this year.
Some 338 candidates have selected for recruitment as ASI (Scale 11) against total 420 vacant posts while results of 36 candidates have been kept pending due to court cases and other technical reasons whereas 46 unfilled seats (34 to female quota and 12 to minatory quota) will be re-advertised will be re-advertised after suitable interval, according to KPPSC.
