Residents of Baizai Kharki, Aziz Gul, Rahim Gul and Irfani Gul have held a joint press conference and alleged that the SHO of Baizai Kharki Police has illegally handed over their land to the opposition.
During the press conference, he said that his opponents, including Sajid and others, have the support of local MPA Zarshad and former mayor Katling Riaz Khan, due to which they are not getting justice. According to the victims, the SHO also allegedly removed hundreds of blocks from their land at the behest of the opponents.
They said that they applied to DPO Mardan on this matter, on which an inquiry was ordered, but instead of waiting for the completion of the inquiry, SHO Kharki handed over the land to the opponents and locked them up in custody.
He further alleged that some local leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are also supporting the opposing side in the matter, which is increasing tension in the area and creating fear of bloodshed.
He warned that if the situation is not brought under control, the police and political leadership will be held responsible for all the consequences. He demanded the DIG and DPO to take immediate action against those responsible otherwise they would resort to protest.
