LHC issues stay order against notices issued by NCCA to 6 journalists

LAHORE: Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC) Aalia Neelum while announcing decision against the notices issued to the 6 journalists by National Cyber Crime Agency (NCCA) has issued stay order. These journalists included president Press club Arshid Ansari, president courts journalist association Muhammad Ashfaq and other journalists. The CJ LHC summoned investigation officer in the court on October 14. The CJ LHC while raising questions on the notices issued by NCCA expressed concern over the transparency of investigation process. The CJ LHC questioned the investigation officer these notices have been issued under what law. NCCI is holding what stage show. The journalists were present in the court in large number. The CJ LHC also raised questions on it U-tubers ridicule different institutions daily. Was this action taken against them too. NCCI has 50000 complaints, Was the similar action taken on all of them. The CJ LHC Aalia Neelum directed investigation officer copy of complaint and all record be presented in the court on next hearing so that this matter could be brought under consideration with more details.
