A miscellaneous petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) for stopping implementation of Kite Flying Act-2025 and declaring it illegal.
The petition was filed by Sheikh Imtiaz Mehmood through his counsel Azhar Siddique advocate.
The petition said Kite Flying Act -2025 has been approved against the constitution. According to petitioner he as member of Punjab Assembly has already tabled calling attention notice in Punjab Assembly.
The petition further said ban is imposed on kite flying as per routine. This is non- bailable offence. It is feared Basant celebration may cause financial and life loss to citizens.
