LHC wraps up petition against NAB amendment ordinance declaring it in-fructuous

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has wrapped up petition against the NAB amendment ordinance declaring it in-fructuous. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan of LHC announced reserved judgment on petition against NAB amendment ordinance Thursday. Additional Attorney General (AAG) Nasar Ahmad appeared in the court and completed his arguments. He said the petition has become in-fructuous on expiry of NAB amendment ordinance period. The petitioner is not aggrieved party. The petition be rejected. Azhar Siddique counsel for the petitioner while giving arguments said reply is not being given intentionally from June 4 till now . Discriminatory treatment was given by implementing the NAB amendment ordinance to the extent of PTI founder. Physical remand for 40 days is being taken instead of 14 days against NAB amendment ordinance. Azhar Siddique advocate requested the court NAB amendment on extending the period of physical remand be nullified. The court however wrapped up the petition declaring it in-fructuous. ONLINE
