2 Foreign women rape case
LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has wrapped up the petition regarding recovery of Wahid Tahir, co-accused with Raza Dar in high profile rape case of two foreign women in the light of police report. Justice Abher Gul took up for hearing petition filed by Mumtaz Bibi . IG Punjab, DIG operations and the respective police officers were made respondents therein. DIG operations Faisal Kamran appeared in the court during the hearing of the case. The police told the court the accused Wahid Tahir is in custody of police on 5 days physical remand at present. The counsel for the petitioner took the plea police have lifted the accused illegally and made him disappear. The family members are not being informed about his present location and condition. The court was requested through plea to order for immediately producing the accused, declaring his detention illegal. releasing him besides granting permission for meeting with family members.
