In conjunction with the joyous celebration of Eid ul Fitr 2026, His Excellency Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, delivered a warm and meaningful message to the Home-Based Staff and Locally Recruited Staff of the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad.
The High Commissioner extended sincere Eid greetings to all members of the mission, expressing deep appreciation for their hard work, dedication, and valuable contributions throughout the year. He described Eid ul Fitr not merely as a festive occasion but as a profound moment to reflect on the spiritual lessons of Ramadan — a month that cultivates patience, humility, compassion, kindness, discipline, and empathy.
H.E. Amb. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan encouraged the staff to embrace gratitude for both personal and professional blessings, urging them to carry forward the positive values instilled during Ramadan into their daily lives and workplace. He stressed the importance of fostering a harmonious and respectful working environment, noting that unity and mutual understanding are essential to enhancing the High Commission’s effectiveness.
“As representatives of Malaysia abroad, each of you plays a vital role in projecting our nation’s identity as a peaceful, respectful, and inclusive society,” the High Commissioner remarked. He further highlighted that peace remains a cherished Malaysian value, especially amid global challenges, and called on everyone to uphold these principles while contributing positively to the workplace and the broader community.
In a thoughtful gesture reflecting the spirit of sharing and care during Eid, the High Commissioner distributed Eid food packages to all locally recruited staff as a token of appreciation and goodwill.
Extending the festive greetings beyond the mission, H.E. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan conveyed warm Eid ul Fitr wishes to the Government and people of Pakistan.
He expressed gratitude for the strong bilateral relations and the warm hospitality extended to Malaysia and its representatives in Pakistan. He expressed hope for continued friendship, prosperity, and lasting peace between the two nations.
The High Commissioner concluded his message with the traditional Malaysian Eid greeting: “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin” — conveying heartfelt wishes while seeking forgiveness for any shortcomings, in the true spirit of reconciliation and renewal. This message underscores the close and friendly ties between Malaysia and Pakistan, reinforced through cultural and festive observances at the Malaysian High Commission in Islamabad.
