The martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is a guideline for the whole of humanity as it highlighted the importance of sacrifice for the cause of upholding the norms and principles of Islam.
These views were expressed by the Deputy Commissioner Kurram Javed Ullah Mehsud, Commanding Officer 55 Baloch Colonel Yusaf, Ulema and tribal leaders while addressing the Interfaith Harmony Conference organized by the district administration Kurram in Parachinar.
Deputy Commissioner Kurram Javed Ullah Mehsud was the chief guest while Commanding Officer 55 Baloch Colonel Yusaf was the guest of honor in the conference.
DPO Kurram Nisar Ahmad Khan, Assistant Commissioner Upper Kurram Hafeezullah and tribal leaders of Upper, Lower and Central Kurram were also present on this occasion.
The speakers said in their speeches that the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) was a guidance for the whole of humanity and we should put aside all our differences and establish an atmosphere of Islamic brotherhood.
They further said that the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) was a living example for the entire humanity by which we can achieve success. They reiterated their commitment to play a role for peace, development and prosperity of Kurram district.
Deputy Commissioner Kurram in his address said that Muharram was a month which teaches us to sacrifice and firmly stand against the oppression. He added, best people were those who established a peaceful society for their next generations and the role of the leaders of Kurram district in this regard was highly commendable.
Promotion of inter-faith harmony was a common responsibility of all of us. All the law enforcement agencies and tribal leaders were on the same page to thwart the nefarious intentions of the anti-state elements who were spreading chaos in the society.
A comprehensive security plan has been formed by the security forces for the peaceful holding of Muharram and all the processions and gatherings of Muharram will end peacefully, he hoped.
At the end of the conference, special prayers were offered for the security of the country and for the peaceful holding of Muharram.
