PDM head Maulana Fazlur Rehman has made separate telephonic contact with former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari and exchanged views on different options for launching anti government movement.
PDM sources said Nawaz Sharif telephoned Maulana Fazlur Rehman ahead of PML-N central executive committee meeting. The two leaders made consultations on making the anti government movement decisive. Nawaz Sharif also requested Maulana Fazlur Rehman to summon the meeting of heads of component parties of PDM.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman gave indication to convene PDM meeting in next week. Both the leaders exchanged views on PPP proposals about Opposition joint long march against the government.
Nawaz Sharif said PML-N is bound to abide by the decisions taken on PDM platform rather than going for solo flight. Getting rid of this government has become inevitable. It should be sent home without further delay and new elections be held. The opposition if united can send it home.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said all the legal, constitutional and public options will be exercised to send this government home.
Sources disclosed to Online that during the telephonic contact between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Asif Ali Zardari the matter of launching no confidence movement against chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar, chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and Prime Minister Imran Khan was discussed. In this regard the opposition parties will evolve a joint strategy in the parliament.
Asif Zardari also took Maulana Fazlur Rehman into confidence regarding his meetings with PML-N leadership;
Zardari said that vote of no trust is legal and constitutional way and establishment too seems neutral at present, therefore, we will have to send government home through vote of no confidence.
