Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali has expressed heartfelt appreciation for the officers and staff of the Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar, police, youth volunteers, scholars, traders, civil society, Rescue 1122, Sui Northern Gas, WAPDA, WSSP, and other departments for ensuring peace and exemplary arrangements during Muharram. In a statement issued at the conclusion of the first ten days of Muharram, the Mayor said that due to the tireless, round-the-clock efforts of these institutions, the city remained peaceful and no untoward incident was reported.
“All departments fulfilled their duties with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism, and their efforts deserve the highest praise,” he said.
Mayor Zubair Ali also extended special thanks to religious organizations from all schools of thought, including Shia, Sunni, and Jamaat, as well as the Muttahida Aman Committee, Idara Taleem-ul-Quran, Idara Tabligh-e-Islam, and other welfare bodies for their positive role in maintaining unity and harmony.
He expressed hope that the same spirit of cooperation, unity, and brotherhood would continue to guide all future religious and civic engagements in the city.
