KHYBER AGENCY: JamiatUlema Islam Fazal (JUI-F) favors implementation of reforms package for tribal belt in initial stage to remove sense of deprivation among the tribesmen and then let them decide future status of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
These views were expressed by Ameer JUI-F,Fata Mufti Abdul ShakoorBetani while talking to local media persons on is visit to Hujra(male guest house)of General Secretary JUI-F,Fata Mufti IjazShinwari to condole with him death of his cousin o Sunday.
Flanked by Secretary Information,Fata Ahmad SaeedDawar, deputy secretary information, Qari Jihad Shah and Ameer JUI-F,LandiKotalQariMujahid he said that repatriation and rehabilitation of hundreds of thousands of Temporary Displaced Persons(TDPs) was the primary concern that need to be addressed.He further said that JUI-F wanted respectful return of all tribal TDPS to their respective towns,provide them all basic necessities including health and education and then let them choose their future status regarding tribal belt.
“JUI-F has an opinion to have a separate province for the tribesmen rather than to merge into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) where they have their own governor, chief minister and their provincial assembly constitute as per their needs”.
Counting benefits of separate province for the tribal Mufti Abdul Shakoor said that it would have its own share in National Finance Commission (NFC) Award beside abandoned minerals across the tribal belt would be explored and would be utilized for the betterment of the tribal.
JUI-F,Fataameer criticized merging of Fata into KP and declared its supporters agents of the foreign powers who were active to break Pakistan.
Mr. Shakoor added that imposing option contrary to wishes of the tribesmen would be equal to deprive them of their right of plebiscite as the Indian Prime Minister Modi negated right of general poll of the people of held Kashmir.
Replaying to a query he said that making necessary amendment in the Constitution,referendum could be legalized to seek choice of the tribal.
He warned that if agenda of merging of Fata to KP was imposed prior to willing of the tribesmen a comprehensive agitation movement would be launched across the Fata.
