Expressing deep sorrow and concern over the loss of precious lives caused by the recent floods in the province, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour, Fazal Shakoor Khan, has said that the heavy rains and flash floods have wreaked havoc, leaving thousands of people displaced and causing severe damage to roads and essential infrastructure.
In a statement issued from his office, the provincial minister said that during this difficult time, the KP government and the labour department stand in full solidarity with the affected families.
Fazal Shakoor Khan directed the concerned officials of the labour department to immediately coordinate with the district administration and actively take part in relief and rehabilitation efforts for the flood-affected people.
He stressed that officers and staff of the department will remain in the field and will utilize all available resources to fulfill their national and humanitarian duty in the rehabilitation process.
He assured that the labour department will work closely with district administrations, rescue agencies, and other relevant departments to take all possible measures in dealing with this natural disaster.
