Minister visits Haj complex, inspects various sections

21,000 pilgrims from KP would perform Haj this year

The provincial minister for information, Haj, auqaf, and religious affairs Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel visited Haj Complex in Hayatabad here on Wednesday and reviewed various sections of the complex, including residential building, training halls, dispensaries and other services.
He said that 21,000 pilgrims would perform Haj this year from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that pilgrims are ambassadors of Pakistan abroad.
All the facilities are being provided in the Hajj complex to those who are going to perform Hajj from KP, he added and said that next year, passports and visa documents will be provided at Hajj Complex Peshawar.
On this occasion, secretary of the department Dr Asad Ali was also present.
Upon reaching the Hajj complex, the Scouts troop welcomed the caretaker provincial minister.
He reviewed the facilities provided to Haj pilgrims in the Haj complex and inspected the vaccination centre, dispensary and training centre.
On this occasion, director of Haj KP Qazi Sami-ur-Rahman while giving a briefing said that this year 179000 pilgrims from all over the country will go on Hajj while a total of 21000 pilgrims will go on Haj from KP.
In the current season, about 8,000 pilgrims have been vaccinated while 13 flights of pilgrims have departed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It was informed that the pilgrims are being provided with vaccination, training and accommodation as well as food.
Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhil directed the authorities to provide passport and visa documents to the pilgrims from the Haj complex from next year.
Expressing his satisfaction on the facilities provided to the pilgrims, he said that the provincial and federal institutions are providing facilities to the pilgrims in full coordination in the Haj complex. The provincial minister also met the pilgrims in the Haj complex and while inquiring about the facilities, said that the provincial government is determined to provide the best facilities to the pilgrims and the best measures have been taken in this regard.
