Judicial Magistrate (Malir) on Friday transferred the murder case of a 7-year old girl to anti terrorist court (ATC).
The girl, Kainat was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered by her brother-in-law and paternal uncle according to the first information report lodged by her brother. All the four accused nominated in the FIR –Arif Shah, Haider Ali Shah, Altaf Shah and Shahid Mehmood- were presented before the court.
During the hearing, Prosecutor Mohammad Ali Khan and Abdul Qadir filed an application seeking transfer of the rape-and-murder case to the ATC.
The application stated that the victim was sexually assaulted and brutally killed, which was an act of terrorism and the crime falls within the jurisdiction of the ATC.
