Missing facilities at Gur Mandi to be provided soon: Mayor

Mayor Peshawar, Haji Zubair Ali has said that all issues of the new grain market in Gur Mandi will be addressed on a priority basis. He said missing facilities including streetlights, conversion of mosque on solar energy, electric water cooler, tuff tiles and new electricity transformer would be provided to the market. The mayor said for cleanliness of the market two employees would be hired who remain in the market on a regular basis for ensuring complete cleanliness. He was talking to a delegation of the traders from grain market including chairman Gurr Mandi Jalal Mohmand, president Haji Gul Khan, vice president Haji Shumaz Gul, Haji Shafiq and others. The mayor said a green belt would also be constructed in the center area of the market. Earlier, the traders informed the mayor about problems of the grain market and demanded streetlights, electricity transformer, drinking water facility, tuff tiles’ floors, solar panels for the mosque and employees for the cleanliness of the market. The mayor, while accepting all the demands of the traders of the grain market, said in the next few days all the missing facilities would be provided to the market. He asked the traders to select two people for cleanliness and the metropolitan government would hire them on a permanent basis for the cleanliness of the market. The traders thanked the mayor and said under his guidance most of the problems of the city traders were being addressed on priority basis.
