Moazam Jah made new KP-IGP

In a major development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General of Police (IGP) was transferred on Wednesday.
Dr Sanaullah Abbasi was replaced Moazam Jah Ansari presently serving as Commandant FC. An official communiqué by the Establishment Division said Dr Sanaullah Abbassi, presently serving as IGP-KP, has been transferred and posted as Director General (DG) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Wajid Zia currently serving as DG FIA posted as DG National Police Bureau. The federal government has also transferred Salahudin Khan, currently serving as IG Azad Khasmir and posted him as Commandant FC. Dr Abbasi has served the Gilgit Baltistan police chief.
He had also headed Counter Terrorism Department of Sindh Police. The notification for Abbasi’s appointment was issued after approval from Prime Minister Imran Khan. He was replaced by Moazam Jah Ansari.
Moazam Jah Ansari hails from Quetta and a grade 21 officer in the 17th Common. He also served as IG Balochistan and Director FIA Karachi and Commandant FC KP for three years.
