Modern landfill site to be established in Mardan city: AC

MARDAN: Assistant Commissioner Ayesha Tahir has said that all resources will be utilized to complete the ongoing various scheme under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KP-CIP) in the district, adding that various committees will be formed in which women representation will be ensured to spread awareness at union council level. Addressing a meeting held in her office regarding the role of women in the KP-CIP, AC Ayesha Tahir said that a modern scientific sanitary landfill site and sewerage treatment plant will be established in the district Mardan. In the meeting, it was decided to organize a workshop at tehsil level for the awareness of women and other stake holder. Ayesha Tahir maintained that after the completion of this project the sanitation services in the city will be further improved. Deputy Manager WSSCM Rahatullah, Gender Coordinator Muslim Khan, President Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aqeela Sumbal, Senior Vice President Faryal, Representatives of community based organizations Faheema Bibi and Shazia Nabi were also present.
