Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered to remove Incharge passport office Garden town from his office. Mohsin Naqvi visited passport office Garden town Lahore where long queues of the citizens were found for obtaining passports. The citizens lodged heaps of complaints with him. As per media report the citizens told Mohsin Naqvi they had come since morning. Staff is not present on several counters. Their turn has not come since 4 hours. Agent mafia is active. Rs 5500 have been given to agent outside the office.
The agents demand money openly for obtaining passports.
One citizen told interior minister that passport was to be delivered today but the staff is saying it has not been printed.
Interior minister ordered to remove Incharge passport office Deputy Director Shahzad Aslam from his office due to negligence of duty. Deputy Director Anti Corruption FIA Lahore was also removed from his office due to presence of agent mafia outside office.
