GUJRANWALA: Police have arrested a man accused of allegedly strangling his maternal aunt to death in Gujranwala’s Rahwali area following a family dispute over not being invited to a family gathering. According to police, the deceased, identified as Gulnaz Bibi, was the mother of three children. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect, Ehtesham, was upset after not being invited to a family function held a few days earlier. Police said the accused allegedly visited the victim’s house on Friday, where an exchange of words took place before he allegedly strangled her to death and fled the scene. Upon receiving information, police reached the spot, collected forensic evidence and registered a case. Officials said the accused was arrested during a swift operation carried out using modern investigative techniques, while further legal proceedings are underway. ONLINE
