ISLAMABAD
National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has ordered to scale down electric tariff of K-Electric by Rs 7.60 per unit. NEPRA has issued decision on review applications of multiyear tariff by K-Electric for the period from 2024 to 2030. Under the decision NEPRA has reduced average tariff of K-Electric from Rs 39.97 to Rs 32.37 per unit. NEPRA said its previous decision regarding right of claims still stands unchanged. This decision pertains to generation, transmission, distribution and supply of K-Electric.
Under NEPRA decision power tariff has been reduced by Rs 7.60 per unit. However burden of Rs 50 billion on consumers still stands under the head of right of claims.
On the other side K-Electric spokesperson has said they are taking detailed review of NEPRA decision. This decision relates to several aspects of generation, transmission, distribution and supply business of K-Electric. Company will pursue all legal ways in this regard.
