New reserves of oil and gas have been discovered in Tal area of KP. According to POL communiqué daily production of gas is 22.1 million square foot and oil is 2112 barrel per day from newly discovered reserves. Pakistan Oil Fields Limited told Stock Exchange through a letter that a big reserve of oil and gas has been discovered from district Kirk. These reserves were discovered during digging in Tal block. Experts say that these discoveries will not only help reduce the import burden but will also prove a vital step towards self reliance by promoting energy production at local level.
