Nine terrorists of TTP arrested, CTD Mardan claims

MARDAN: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Mardan claimed that they have arrested nine alleged key terrorists of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and recovered huge quantity of weapons from their possessions and foiled a major terrorist plot, a press statement said. According to the statement the Mardan Region Anti-Terrorism Department has received information from sources that 8 to 9 alleged terrorists are present in Mohmand district for sabotage. The counter terrorism department conducted a successful operation on intelligence bases and arrested 9 alleged terrorists including the notorious criminals Mohibullah, Ehsanullah’s sons Saif-ur-Rehman residents of Mohmand who were wanted by CTD Mardan Region in terrorism cases while other alleged terrorists are Iftikhar, Samiullah, Irfan, Asmatullah sons of Saif-ur-Rehman, Farhad Ali son of Arabistan, Ishtiaq son of Iftikhar and Abdul Raziq son of Lal Rehman, residents of Yakka Ghund Mohamand. The alleged terrorist was arrested from Mohmand district. CTD recovered 2 suicide jackets, 1 Kalashnikov rifle with 3 magazines, one 9mm pistol, 4 rocket launcher shells and explosives. A case has been registered against them and interrogation of the accused is underway. More important revelations are expected from them. Our Correspondent
