LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has remarked no one can be fired from job without completing the inquiry. Justice Malik Muhammad Awais of LHC has issued 11-page decision whereby the order has been given to reinstate security guard Shafique. The court maintained about dismissal of security guard from service no one can be dismissed from service without completing inquiry. According to court’s decision MS dismissed him from service after formal proceedings which is violation of law. Time was not provided to the petitioner as per rules in the inquiry. As per decision the petitioner was charged with stealing AC pipe of orthopedic ward. According to petitioner MS issued show cause notice and its reply was filed. In reply to show cause notice the petitioner rejected the allegations. The petitioner filed petition in Punjab Service Tribunal in 2024. Service Tribunal wrote in the decision this is not proper forum. The court orders to reinstate the petitioner on job. The competent authority is authorized to hold regular inquiry against petitioner. The respective authority should decide about arrears and benefits of the petitioner too. ONLINE
