No wheat Shortage in Pindi, supply stable: DFC

District Food Controller (DFC), Azhar Abbas said on Thursday there was no shortage of wheat flour in Rawalpindi district and supplies remained stable across all tehsils, , amid continued market inspections by the authorities.
Speaking to media persons, he said flour stocks were available in sufficient quantities and uninterrupted supplies from flour mills to retail outlets were being maintained throughout the district. He said a 10-kilogram flour bag was being sold at Rs 950 while a 20-kilogram bag was available for between Rs 1,900 and Rs 2,000 .
Abbas said the district administration and food department were closely monitoring markets to ensure flour was being sold at officially notified prices.
