ISLAMABAD
Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has accepted exemption plea of PTI leader and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Omar Ayub in cases registered against PTI leaders and workers in connection with October 4 and November 26 protest besides issuing arrest warrants of absent accused.
The court also adjourned without any proceedings hearing of 2 cases related to Azadi March which were registered against PTI founder and workers.
Summon notice have been issued to Ali Bokhari, Shoaib Shaheen and other accused in the case registered in police station Kohsar.
Hearing of the case was adjourned till September 6.
The court directed prosecution to give arguments on next hearing that can challan be presented in respect of the accused whose matters of bail have not been decided.
This order was issued by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra during hearing of the case on Wednesday.
In the meantime copies of challan were provided to PTI leader Azam Swati. Supplementary report on the case registered in Kohsar police regarding November 26 protest was presented .
The court adjourned hearing till August 4 in respect of case registered in police station Noon and Kohsar. Hearing of cases related to police station Aabpara and Tarnol was adjourned till August 11.
2 cases in the matter of Azadi March registered against PTI founder and workers were to be heard but hearing of the case registered in police station Khanna under No 242 was adjourned without proceedings.
Challan of case No 551 registered in police station Kohsar has been filed in the court.
The court has issued summon notices to Ali Bokhari, Shoaib Shaheen and others besides adjourning hearing of the case till September 6.
Sardar Muhammad Masroof Khan, Aamna Ali and Murtaza Toori appeared on behalf of PTI workers.
Cases under terrorism and other clauses are registered against PTI leaders and workers in police stations Noon, Kohsar , Aabpara and others.
