PESHAWAR: Unidentified armed men abducted two persons including the driver of a gas company in Bannu district, police informed on Wednesday. As per details, the incident took place in Bakakhel area, within the jurisdiction of Bakakhel Police Station. Police said armed assailants intercepted a trailer vehicle in Mandi Bakakhel and at gunpoint, forcibly offload the driver and his companion. The kidnappers took both individuals to an undisclosed location using their own vehicle, while the company’s trailer was left abandoned at the scene. Following the incident, law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the abductors and recover the kidnapped individuals. Police officials stated that an investigation is underway from multiple angles and efforts are being intensified to ensure the safe recovery of the victims. Local residents have also expressed serious concern over the incident and have called for stricter security measures in the area. APP
