The exhibition hockey match played at Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Day was won by Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy in an interesting and thrilling competition.
The Karachi fitness club lost by five goals to four, winning team played well in the match against the guest team. Their forward line started attacking the goal post of the rival team from the beginning of the match, as a result of which they got success, Ali Abbas scored a hat trick on behalf of the winning team.
He scored the first three goals while Muhammad Wajid and Abdul Bari scored one goal each.
Irfan Ali and Akhtar Ali scored one goal each.
The chief guest of the match was Olympian Sameer Hussain, the head coach of the hockey academy, who was introduced to the guests.
The 147th birth anniversary is being celebrated, hockey matches are organized regularly on 25th December every year in Islahuddin Academy and the children are told about the achievements of the father of the nation, Sameer Hussain also distributed prizes at the end of the match.
Did Karachi Fitness Club Secretary Muhammad Wahid Hussain, Islahuddin Hockey Academy coaches Syed Al Hasan, Syed Sagheer Hussain, Wasif Raza, Muhammad Aslam Khan, Javed Mazhar Syed Asif Ali, Zafeer Ahmed and others were also present on this occasion. Nadeem Saeed, Uzair, Talha Ghori and Wajid performed the duties of umpiring.
