PESHAWAR
An important meeting held here on Monday with caretaker Minister for Construction and Works (C&W) Muhammad Ali Shah in the chair, reviewed budget allocation and its utilization for the ongoing development projects of the department.
Secretary C&W Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, Managing Director (MD) Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority Ahmad Nabi Sultan, Consultant Swat Motorway Dr Shahab Khanzada, Director Motorways North Sohail Idrees and other officials attended the meeting.
The forum was given detailed briefing about the progress and challenges so far on Swat Motorway Phase Two, Dir and Bunir Motorway, DI Khan Peshawar Motorway and other major ongoing projects in the province.
Secretary C&W informed the meeting that construction and repair of bridges in Swat Kanju Bypass Malakand, Khwazakhela Bypass Scheme, Bunir Lakakar Tunnel, Madin Kalam Road and various bridges were underway.
On this occasion, the Caretaker Minister instructed the authorities to speed up their work and complete all projects timely.
He said that efforts should be made for the convenience of tourists coming for the snowfall, adding that obstacles on the roads should be removed immediately.
He directed to remove the snow on the road and speed up the work on Kala Dher bridge.
Will serve the people of Swat and will continue to work for the betterment of the district in a positive way, he added.
