ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis can use their mobile phones for 4 months without paying tax or duty by registering them. In a statement on social media platform X, PTA said that overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals visiting Pakistan can use their personal mobile phones without registering any tax or duty for 120 days after their return. In March this year, the government had allowed overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals to use mobile phones without tax or duty for four months. Pakistani citizens can register their mobile phones by visiting the website. FBR and PTA in collaboration with FIA and mobile phone operators have introduced a new temporary registration system. The above mentioned system is designed for those overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals, who do not want to keep their mobile phone in Pakistan and only one mobile phone will be applicable to them.
