PESHAWAR
The Director General of Culture and Tourism Authority (CTA) Habibullah Arif highlighted the profound cultural bond between Pakistan and China during his visit to the Chinese Cultural Center, China Window, in Peshawar.
He lauded Chinese culture as one of the oldest and richest in the world, encompassing 5,000 years of history, traditions, philosophy, arts, literature, and core cultural values.
Speaking to the media, Habibullah Arif emphasized that the essence of Chinese culture lies in harmony, balance, hard work, respect for elders, and a strong family system, all of which foster collective well-being. He also praised the initiative of teaching the Chinese language to students at China Window, noting that it will significantly contribute to the intellectual and
cultural development of future generations.
During his visit, Arif toured various galleries within the China Window and later signed the Friendship Wall, leaving his reflections in the guestbook. He underlined that the friendship between Pakistan and China has evolved beyond economic and political domains and is now increasingly strengthened through cultural exchanges.
The CTA Director General expressed that such cultural cooperation fosters closer ties between the people of both nations, eradicating misconceptions and enhancing mutual respect. He also called for expanded cultural collaboration, particularly in the context of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), to promote stronger people-to-people relations.
