Pakistan has expressed immense reservations over the reports of genocide and forced displacement of Rohingya Muslims and has called upon Myanmar authorities to take immediate steps for the protection of rights of Muslims.
In a statement issued here Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Nafees Zakriya has said Pakistan is gravely concerned over the killings and displacement of Rohingya Muslim on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.
Pakistan demanded that Myanmar government should hold probe into the genocide and take action against those found responsible. Appropriate steps be taken for safeguarding rights of Rohingya Muslim.
Pakistan along with international community particularly OIC will continue to express solidarity and protect the rights of Rohingya Muslims, statement added.
Bangladesh and India should be exposed for not providing shelter to Rohingya Muslims: Siraj
Amir Jamaat-e- Islami (JI) Siraj ul Haq has telephoned defence minister Khawaja and demanded that government should take immediate practical steps for stopping genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
He made a telephonic contact with Khawaja Asif on Monday and exchanged views with him on the atrocities being perpetrated against Rohingya Muslims.
He said to Defence minister that Pakistan should take immediate steps for stopping the killings of Rohingya Muslims.
Government of Pakistan should immediately convene OIC meeting and mount international pressure on Myanmar government, he stressed.
Myanmar ambassador should be summoned immediately and the sentiments of people of Pakistan should be convened to him on genocide of Rohingya Muslims.
Bangladesh and India should be exposed for not providing shelter to Rohingya Muslims.
The genocide of Rohingya Muslims is continuing under patronage of government, he held.
The Rohingya Muslims including children and women who have escaped from the brutalities of Budhists have also drowning in the sea and dying while attempting to flee to Bangladesh, he added.
