Pakistan attaches great importance to ties with Mascow: Nazir

Provincial minister for local government, elections, and rural development Sawal Nazir on Wednesday said that Pakistan attaches great importance to furthering bilateral relations with Russia in all domains especially in education sector.
Sawal Nazir Khan expressed these views during a meeting with Russian Federation Ambassador Danil Gench in Peshawar, said an official press release.
During the meeting matters of mutual interest, educational activities in both countries, scholarship programs, access of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa students to Russian institutes, scholarships programs for deserving students came under discussion.
The Minister and Russian diplomat reiterated the commitment for expanding bilateral relations in the education sector and opportunities would be enhanced for medical and engineering students of the province in Russian universities.
Russian Federation Ambassador Danil Gench said that steps would be taken to enhance and boost good relations between Moscow and Peshawar.
He said that there are a number of fields where both countries can work together.
Initiatives to establish a learning and culture center and tourism in KP will be promoted. There is a need to make the system better and more efficient, while the sanitation and drainage system should also be improved.
Later, the provincial minister presented Chitrali Cap and a Chadar to Russian diplomats and sapling was also planted at the Ladies Club Peshawar.
