PESHAWAR : Former Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Kashmir and Gilgit Biltistan Haji Muhammad Addeel has said that Pakistan should suspend all its protocols and other agreements at the SAARC level with India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan who under duress supported India to postpone the upcoming SAARC head of the State summit in November this year.
Talking to APP, the senior ailing ANP leader Haji Muhammd Adeel said that our Prime Minister should also avoid attending the SAARC summit if it were held in any of these countries except Sri Lanka and Maldives who did not vote for postponement of the coming SAARC summit. I will not suggest name of Afghanistan which also voted India to postpone the SAARC summit as we have very special relations with them and I dont want to take any negative action against the Government of Afghanistan.
The ANP leader strongly criticized the leadership of the BJP and certain extremists group associated with the ruling BJP threatening the Pakistan Artists to leave India adding, culture has no boundary, artists all over the world go to every country where they are respected and honored. The Pakistani electronic channel should also stopped airing Indian content and should screen only those Indian movies and dramas which have Pakistani actors and actress in it.
He held the Indias unprovoked firing at LOC that martyred two Pakistan troops the other day as unfortunate and tragic. He recalled that he remained member of the Pak-India Peoples to Peoples Relationship Association for quite long time and we always talked of normal and peaceful relations with India.
Kashmir, he said is a disputed territory and recalled that the Indian leadership including Jawahir Lal Nehru and Sardar Patel pledged to the UNO that they would ask the Kashmiris to whom they want to live India or Pakistan but they backed out of their commitments without any reason and to the surprise of many they amended the Indian constitution and made disputed Kashmir territory as their part.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, he said spoke in detail about the Kashmir dispute in his address to the UN General Assembly but except for few Muslim countries no other leader of Muslim Ummah mentioned Kashmir in his speech at the UNGA. Its a point to be taken notice of by the Pakistani leadership and foreign policy makers whether their foreign policy was successful or needed to be revisited.
Kashmiris are being subjected to worst kind of treatment at the hands of the occupation forces for their only sin of demanding plebiscite in the held valley. For the last 75 days, Indian forces have unleashed terror and brutalities over the innocent Kashmiris while the important Muslim countries have adopted silent postures over all these inhuman acts.
