ISLAMABAD: Federal government has increased pay of Speaker National Assembly (NA) and chairman Senate by 500 percent. The salary of speaker NA and chairman Senate has been fixed Rs 13 lac each following the enhancement in their pay. The order for increase in salary will be applicable from January 01, 2025. Ministry of parliamentary affairs has issued notification in connection with increase in salary. The speaker NA and chairman Senate were earlier receiving pay Rs 205000. Earlier approval was given to increase the salaries of members of assembly and Senate upto 519000. ONLINE
